John was appointed as the chief executive of Golden Lane Housing in 2018, having worked for the organisation for 18 years.

John has over 25 years of experience working in the social housing sector and helped drive the strategic growth of Golden Lane Housing as Head of Development from 2014 to 2018 by developing key partnerships and innovative housing solutions with commissioners, support providers, and families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

John is chair of the Learning Disability and Autism Housing Network, a coalition of registered housing associations providing housing and services. John has a Masters in Housing Studies from the University of West of England, an Executive MBA at Warwick Business School and a Fellow of both Chartered Institute of Housing and Royal Society of Arts for making a significant contribution to housing.
