Your tenancy agreement
When you moved into your home, you (or someone who supports you) signed a tenancy agreement.
This is a legal contract that explains your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, as well as the responsibilities of Golden Lane Housing.
Your tenancy agreement sets out your rights, including:
- The right to enjoy your home in peace and comfort
- The right to have repairs carried out
- The right to feel safe and not be upset, frightened, or harassed by anyone in your home
- The right to make a complaint if you’re unhappy with your home or the service you receive
It also outlines your responsibilities, such as:
- Treating others with respect and not being violent or aggressive towards anyone, including neighbours, visitors, or support staff
- Avoiding behaviour that could cause a nuisance or disturbance to others
- Keeping noise levels, such as music or television, to a reasonable level
- Looking after your home and avoiding damage to furniture, fixtures, or fittings
- Paying your rent on time
Your tenancy agreement helps make sure everyone enjoys a safe, secure and welcoming place to live.
If you’re unsure about anything in your tenancy, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
