Our Plan 2025-2028: Shaping the future of Golden Lane Housing together

We’re excited to launch Our Plan 2025-2028, our new three-year plan that sets out what we’ll be doing to make things better for our tenants and future tenants. This plan is all about you—our tenants—and making sure your voices are heard.

We’ve been providing homes for people with learning disabilities and autistic people since 1998, and today we support over 3,000 people across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. But we know there’s still so much more to do. We’ve listened to what you’ve told us, and this plan will help us improve our services, grow the number of homes we offer, and make sure we’re ready for the future.

 Shaped by you, for you

Last year, we asked for your thoughts through a big survey. Then, we held meetings and a special Making Plans Day, where tenants, staff, and our Board got together to talk about what really matters. Here’s what you told us:

Our Plan 2025-2028 is built around these priorities. We’ll work hard over the next three years to make sure you see real changes in these areas.

Mark Johnson, Co-Chair of Board and Tenants Working Together, said: “We want Golden Lane Housing to work hard to make these things happen.”

What we’re focusing on

To make this happen, we’ve set ourselves three big goals:

1️ Quality Tenant Experience – We’ll involve you more in decisions, improve how we communicate, make repairs faster and more efficient, and introduce safety passports so you always feel safe in your home.

2️Impact and Growth – We’ll provide 750 new homes over the next three years, work to reduce empty properties, and ensure our homes are more energy efficient and affordable to run.

3️ Future Ready – We’ll invest in better technology, keep improving how we work, and make sure we’re prepared for changes in housing laws so we can continue supporting you in the best way possible.

Making a difference straight away

We’re not waiting to get started—here’s what we’re aiming to achieve in the first year:

More than 8 out of 10 tenants happy with our service and repairs

Faster repairs – Emergency repairs done within 24 hours, routine repairs within 20 days

More energy-efficient homes, with all new builds rated EPC B

£500,000 in grant funding to improve homes

Stronger relationships with support providers to bring more housing options

Let’s keep talking

We’ll keep listening to you and working with you to make sure we’re on track. We’ll also be sharing updates on how we’re doing, so you can see the progress we’re making.

This plan is just the start. We’re committed to making sure everyone with a learning disability and autistic people have a safe, suitable home where they can live well and thrive. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
