Thoughtful home improvements from our Assets team

Our Assets team are busy improving homes for our tenants and here we share two recent examples that show the difference good design can make.

A garden made easy to use in Barnsley

In Barnsley, a steep, multi level garden needed to be made more accessible. Keystone, who were successful in a recent tender, redesigned the garden to create level areas, clear paths and a layout that makes most of the space.

Tenants have been delighted with the changes. Their first question was “When can we get a garden table and BBQ ready for spring?

A brighter more practical kitchen

At another property, tenants have a new kitchen as part of our planned maintenance program. The updated layout and modern fitting make the space brighter, easier to use and better suited to everyday living.

We’d like to recognise our Property Surveyors Chris (who worked on the kitchen and bathroom upgrade) and Phil (who led on the garden project) who both did a fantastic job.

They worked closely with tenants and their support teams throughout, ensuring the design met their needs while keeping disruption from the works to a minimum.

These examples show how listening, collaboration and thoughtful design can make tenants’ homes more comfortable, accessible and enjoyable both inside and out.
