Tenant involvement is central to our work at Golden Lane Housing. We work with our involved tenants to gain their feedback and help us to improve our services to tenants. Here are a few things our involved tenants have been supporting services with recently:
Getting to know our Board
We recently hosted a ‘Getting to know our Board’ session with Nikki Bowker, Board Member, giving involved tenants the chance to meet her both personally and professionally. Nikki shared why she chose to join the Golden Lane Housing Board and what she hopes to contribute to her role. These sessions are valuable as they help build trust and transparency between the Board and our tenants, strengthening tenant voice and connection at the highest level of decision-making.
Board and Tenants Working Together
At the latest Board and Tenants Working Together meeting, tenant members and Board Members discussed key updates, including tenant involvement progress, Tenant Satisfaction Survey results, Our Plan 2025 -2028, staff retention, and positive developments in our repairs service. These meetings are ensuring tenants are directly involved in shaping and influencing our services alongside the Board, fostering open dialogue and shared understanding across the organisation.
Let’s talk about the Tenant Interview Panel
A brilliant session led by the People and Culture Team, has been held to focus on improving the tenant interview panel experience. Tenants shared what has been working well and where improvements can be made, with the aim of making their involvement in recruitment even more meaningful. More sessions are planned throughout the year. This is a fantastic example of how we are working collaboratively with tenants to shape how we do things and improve our services together.
