Learning Disability Week is an annual awareness week which is led by learning disability charity, Mencap. This year’s theme was “Do you see me?” which was all about people with a learning disability being seen, heard and valued.
Last week we celebrated Learning Disability Week 2025, by showcasing some of our fantastic involved tenants and the amazing work they do to help make sure Golden Lane Housing listens to their voices and acts upon their feedback.
Sacha
Sacha has helped us to give Voices Together a makeover and given us lots of feedback and support. We hope you like it as much as we do. You can read the latest edition by clicking here.
As well as getting involved at Golden Lane Housing, Sacha enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including with her housemate Ben and pet cat, Milo, working part time, and presenting the Breakfast Show on Warminster Community Radio!
Chris
Chris is a member of our Golden Lane Housing tenant committee, More Voices, More Choices and is our New Homes tenant representative. Recently, he went out with Stuart, Supported Housing Development Lead, to learn more about how we create homes for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
As well as getting involved at Golden Lane Housing, Chris is a keen DJ and a master of puns and jokes!
Robin
Robin is a newly involved tenant from Nottinghamshire. Robin has been getting involved helping us to review Golden Lane Housing services, and has been giving us his feedback on how we can improve our website.
A big thank you to all of our involved tenants who help us to improve our services to tenants.
