Here are some of the reasons why we’re celebrating.
315 People with a learning disability moved into new homes in their community – 225 people are living new homes purchased or leased by Golden Lane Housing and 90 people moved into suitable housing vacancies in our properties.
GLH’s 2014 Retail Charity Bond won the Social Investment Award at the Third Sector Awards. “I loved getting on stage to collect the award. Lots of people were giving me a high-five on the way back to the table!” Paul, GLH tenant.
In-house Repairs Service team has enabled 375 tenants to benefit from a personalised general repairs service. Tenants helped us to choose the right people to join the team. We’re looking forward to expanding this service to more homes across the North in Feb 2016.
#HousingDay in November was a tenant takeover as seven people worked with the teams at the Centre of Engagement in the North and out in the field. People told us why they were #proudtenants.
Mencap’s Hear my voice award winning campaign included GLH tenants telling the government about issues that are important to them.
We are looking forward to working with more people with a learning disability, their families and carers and professionals in 2016.
