Earlier this week, Golden Lane Housing arranged an event in Rotherham for tenants to get know members of the GLH team and find out more about what they do. Andrew Locke, housing officer talks about the event.
‘Meet your Golden Lane Housing team’ gave our tenants the chance to get to know the key GLH staff that provide a service to them in their home.
This was also a chance for our tenants to make new friends over coffee and some nice cakes!
People got to know their housing officer, Andrew Locke, the property surveyor, Sarah Sorrell and the In-house team leader, Alan Andrews. They found out more about their work and how they help everyone.
We want to give our tenants a nice home to live in where they can be happy.
Our tenants told us some of the things we do well: we involve them when choosing a new home; we help when tenants ring up on the phone; we involve tenants in choosing how their homes are decorated and we listen to our tenants.
We got some helpful ideas about how Golden Lane Housing can do things better: we could speed up the time it takes to do repairs; we can make sure we put calls through to the right people; and we can try to visit tenants more rather than phoning them.
The event helped the Golden Lane Housing staff learn more about what our tenants like about the things we do and how we can make things even better.
