We want to help more people with a learning disability to find the right home and environment to live the life they choose.
By sharing our knowledge and expertise with local authorities and organisations we work together on the strategy to meet people’s needs and can also provide housing options.
Royal Borough of Greenwich
The learning disability housing strategy 2017-2022 was developed from the findings of a report the council commissioned from Golden Lane Housing to review the current housing on offer and consider what housing is likely to be needed in the future.
We are continuing this joint work through the implementation plan and a dedicated housing brokerage service.
By involving others, we are listening to everyone who can help us. We want to make sure people with a learning disability have choices about where they want to live, good quality accommodation-based services and the right amount of housing within the borough.
Happy Homes, housing brokerage service
Golden Lane Housing is working in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich to provide a housing brokerage service that gives advice, information and guidance to people with a learning disability, families and carers. Together we’ll explore the options available, whether it’s renting or buying a home, continuing to live with their family or requiring specialist adaptations to make it just right.
