Golden Lane Housing launches 2021 Annual Report to Tenants

November 12, 2021

Golden Lane Housing (GLH) has launched the 2021 Annual Report to Tenants. The report, which is a statutory document that must be produced by all housing associations every year, will be hitting tenants’ doorsteps in the coming week.

It provides an overview of the work and services GLH has provided during 2020/21, and includes statistics, achievements, and things GLH is working on to improve. Following feedback from tenants, it comes as a 2022 calendar and includes a range of activities to make the information easier to understand and more interactive.

Gemma Richmond, tenant involvement officer, is GLH’s lead for the project: “For the past two years we have been making some significant changes to our Annual Report that we share with our tenants. In 2020 we did a large consultation across the country to ask tenants what they wanted their report to be, the feedback was that they wanted lots of changes such as including activities, pictures of tenants, more pictures of staff and more visuals. We decided to do a wall calendar to feature in everyone’s homes and ran a photography competition to feature in the 12 months.

“This year, tenants requested more visuals, activities and for the calendar to be more functional – they also wanted stickers to make the calendar more interactive. The images featured throughout it are highlights from our ‘Corona Creations’ lockdown competition and is bursting with activities, bold graphics and photos of staff.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to the tenants, working group and executives for taking the time to contribute to this year’s report. We really hope that the tenants love using this year’s calendar and we are looking forward to working with more people next year to see how we can make it even better again!”

Michele Doyle, GLH tenant, More Voices, More Choices committee member and Annual Report representative, worked directly with Gemma and the designer to produce the report. Her work has been vital to making sure the Annual Report captured exactly what tenants wanted. Michele said: “I enjoy being the Annual Report representative and I like spending time doing it and being a part of everything. I want to do more and more. We hope you like it all.”
