Golden Lane Housing becomes first specialist housing provider for people with a learning disability or autism to adopt Sustainability Reporting Standards

May 31, 2022

Golden Lane Housing (GLH) has become the first specialist housing provider to  adopt the Sustainability Reporting Standard (SRS) for Social Housing, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to report on their Environmental Social and Governance impacts in a transparent, consistent and comparable way.

The SRS is a voluntary reporting framework, covering criteria across ESG considerations such as zero carbon targets, affordability, safety and resident voice.

By adopting the Standard, GLH is obligated to report against the SRS every year, with the first report due for the financial year ended 31 March 2023.

Warren Bradley, Director of Legal and Governance and Company Secretary at GLH, said: “I’m really pleased that we have adopted the SRS as it underlines our ongoing commitment to stakeholders to report on our Environmental, Social and Governance impacts.  As with our previous impact reporting, we hope that we are setting the bar for other specialist housing associations to follow our lead, and to tell their stories about making a difference.

“We look forward to working with The Good Economy, and contributing to the future of the SRS.”
