Golden Lane Housing achieves top stability check rating: G1 V1
January 15, 2025

Today the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) published its annual Stability Check for Golden Lane Housing. The Stability Check process takes place to ensure we meet the regulatory standards in everything we do. The RSH focuses on providers’ financial resilience and consider changes to their risk profile.
We are delighted to let you know that the Regulator has confirmed our G1 grading for governance and has regraded our previous assessment of financial viability from V2 to V1.

The judgement means that the RSH is confident that as a landlord we meet its governance (G1) and financial viability requirements (V1) and that we have the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios, having reduced our exposure to increases in interest costs.
John Verge, Chief Executive of Golden Lane Housing, said: “Our G1 /V1 status reflects the commitment and dedication of colleagues across Golden Lane Housing to being a leading national supported housing provider for people with learning disability and autistic people. The results of our stability check recognises the hard work carried out to ensure we have an adequately funded business plan, sufficient security and continue to meet our financial covenants. Over recent months we have put in place further capital funding. This increased financial capacity supports our continued work to invest in new and existing homes across the country”.
