Tenant representatives visit GLH teams

April 29, 2024

At Golden Lane Housing (GLH), tenants are at the heart of all the services it provides. Members on the GLH tenant committee, More Voices, More Choices, each have representative roles. This means that each member is able to learn more in depth about a specific GLH service to allow them use their learning to feedback on different aspects of the service to GLH members of staff and to their co-members.

Over the past few weeks, three of our tenants have visited the services they represent to learn more about how they work and to give their own feedback.

Oakley, tenant representative for Repairs, went out on the road with Darren and Nicholas, GLH Resolve Solutions (GLH’s in-house repairs team) Multi Skilled Operatives to see first-hand how the team manages and completes repairs jobs. He also his own input on how the service could be improved for tenants.

Oakley said: “Going out with Darren and Nicholas from Resolve Solutions and learning what they do in their day-to-day tasks was an amazing experience. If I could, I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Chris, tenant representative for Housing and New Homes, joined the Allocations and Voids team to learn more about their services to tenants and the tenant journey to living in a GLH property. He later went out to visit a property with the team.

Chris said: “I have loved my visit! I really enjoyed meeting the Allocations and Voids Team and have learned lots more about the work Golden Lane Housing does. I would love to visit again soon.”
Kelly, tenant representative for Complaints, visited the Tenant Experience Team to learn more about complaints and how they are handled. Kelly gave valuable feedback on the complaints process and examined some case studies.
Kelly said: “The visit went great. I enjoyed everything about the day! It was lovely to meet everyone.”
A big thank you to Oakley, Chris and Kelly for their time and their important views and feedback.
