Golden Lane Housing establishes new partnership with Liaise Specialist Support Services

April 9, 2024

Three people with learning disabilities have moved into a home of their own thanks to a new partnership between Golden Lane Housing (GLH) and Liaise Specialist Support Services.

GLH is pleased to announce its partnership with Liaise, a specialist support service which provides excellent support services for people with complex needs and specialist conditions.

The first scheme undertaken between the organisations has seen GLH become the landlord for a property in High Wycombe.  The property, which was former shared accommodation, consists of three self-contained flats which each have a wet room style bathroom, shared garden and a communal lounge and kitchen.  The flats have been full refurbished to a high standard by Liaise, and GLH is now responsible for providing landlord services.

Abdul Latif, Director of Development and Growth at GLH, said: “We agreed to take on this specific scheme to develop a new partnership with Liaise, and we are really pleased with how our first project together has turned out. It is brilliant to be able to offer three tenants long term housing provision, which will give them the opportunity to live as independently as possible with the expert support from Liaise. Their individual flats and communal areas also enable the tenants to maintain their privacy and socialise with the other tenants if they wish to. We hope they are very happy in their new homes, and we are looking forward to progressing our partnership with Liaise in the future.”

Mark Sherriff, Chief Commercial Officer at Liaise, said: “We are delighted to provide specialist supported living accommodation for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. Working closely with fantastic commissioners, we have filled these three self-contained flats in High Wycombe, providing high quality support to the individuals living there. Partnering with Golden Lane Housing has been a pleasure, with their extensive knowledge and experience of the sector.”
