We want to help more people with a learning disability to find the right home and environment to live the life they choose.
By sharing our knowledge and expertise with local authorities and organisations we work together on the strategy to meet people’s needs and can also provide housing options.
Royal Borough of Greenwich
Golden Lane Housing is helping the Royal Borough of Greenwich to look at the housing needs for people with a learning disability.
Work began in late 2016 to develop a housing strategy, and by late summer there will be a clear plan of how this will become real life – whether it’s improving a person’s home, finding a new place to live or making long term plans with families and carers.
Through involving others, we are listening to everyone who can help us. We want to make sure people with a learning disability have choices about where they want to live, good quality accommodation-based services and the right amount of housing within the borough.
We’re holding a housing event to give people the opportunity to comment on the draft housing strategy, hear about our plans and find out ways you can get involved.
