We want to help more people with a learning disability to find the right home and environment to live the life they choose.
By sharing our knowledge and expertise with local authorities and organisations we work together on the strategy to meet people’s needs and can also provide housing options.
Royal Borough of Greenwich
Golden Lane Housing is helping the Royal Borough of Greenwich to look at the housing needs for people with a learning disability.
Work began in late 2016 to develop a housing strategy, and next year there will be a clear plan of how this will become real life – whether it’s improving a person’s home, finding a new place to live or making long term plans with families and carers.
Through involving others, we are listening to everyone who can help us. We want to make sure people with a learning disability have choices about where they want to live, good quality accommodation-based services and the right amount of housing within the borough.
Share your views on the housing plan
We are holding focus groups to find out the views of people with a learning disability, older carers and families with young adults to help shape the plan going forward.
Our first focus group is for older carers and is being held:
Time: 10am to 12pm
Date: 15 January 2018
Venue: Sherard Road Day Centre, 81 Tattersall Close, SE9 6ET
