Congratulations to Nigel Litten, planned maintenance programme manager and Simon Howard, accountant for winning this quarter’s SPOT (Special Presentation of Thanks) Award.
This award is given to members of staff that have gone beyond their role to make a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability, their support networks and staff they work with.
Nigel has demonstrated time and again his allegiance to Golden Lane Housing’s CORE values and Mencap’s values with a positive attitude to tenants, staff and other customers. Simon undertook additional responsibilities during the introduction of Component Accounting and supervising a temporary member of staff to ensure its success.
Nigel Litten, planned maintenance programme manager explains, “I was shocked but very pleased to be awarded the SPOT Award, it really means a great deal that your work and effort is being noticed not just by our tenants but also your fellow colleagues.”
Simon Howard, account says, “I am very pleased to have received this award and recognised for the hard work that has been involved. It has helped publicise an important piece of work we have been tasked with to transition over to producing registered provider accounts. I can’t claim all the glory however; I led on the project but without the help of Peter who was involved in the initial calculations, and Andy who input the data into the system the project would not have been completed successfully and on schedule.”
