Golden Lane Housing currently has a property portfolio of £95.4 million (at historic cost) which comprises 425 freehold and long leasehold properties.
In addition 312 properties are leased from private landlords on 1-3 year leases.

Adaptations are often required in our properties to ensure they are suitable for the tenant’s needs. The extent of these adaptations can vary considerably depending on the level of disability and might include creating wheelchair access throughout a property or creating appropriate bathroom facilities for tenants with physical disabilities. The average cost of adaptations and updates required to bring new properties in line with GLH standards is typically around 20% of the purchase price of a property.
We undertake surveys of all of our properties on a periodic basis, and use this to generate and update our long term maintenance programmes. GLH has policy of continuous investment in its properties and we have spent on average £860,393 per annum on planned maintenance over the past three years.
