Alongside Mencap, we are delighted to announce that we are finalists in The National Learning Disabilities Awards.
An all-day exhibition and conference held at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham will showcase exhibitors from across the learning disability sector before hosting an awards ceremony in the evening to award excellence in 15 categories.
Mencap will be co-chairing the opening of the event. Alastair Graham, director of Golden Lane Housing will be talking about how the bond has helped provide the much needed housing for people with a learning disability in specially adapted properties.
The awards we have been shortlisted for are:
• The Supported Housing Award (Golden Lane Housing Bond)
• The Trainer Award (Darren Sanders)
• The Employer of People with a Learning Disability Award (JD Weatherspoon and their work with Mencap)
• The Good Learning Disability Nurse Award (Rebecca Crossley and her work with Mencap)
We are extremely pleased to be recognised for working with people with a learning disability and people involved in their lives to find the right home and support them to live the life they choose.
